Daystar’s winch isolators are the perfect answer. A properly stowed winch hook should be aligned with the drum of the winch and have a little tension on it to avoid cable snags and damage. Daystar’s winch isolators are manufactured to fit all common winch fairleads used on trucks and ATVs. Simply remove the hook from the winch cable, slide the cable through the winch isolator, re-attach the hook, and go! The isolator offers rattle-free and proper storage of the winch hook without interfering with winch operation. The stock hood latches utilize a weak and stretch-prone rubber that allows the hood to shake and flutter at speed.
